The name stood for "Electronic 3 intake ports", and included important changes to the engine, which had more power and sparkle. Even the styling was changed from the standard Primavera (which remained in the range).
The Vespa 125 Primavera was released in 1968 to replace the Nuova 125 . Had an engine of 124 cc ignition points and was produced in three series: the first was the rear light type 90 SS , presented in italics vespa 125 on the front shield and spring over the rear light, the second the same light but hidden in letters (from 1973, the year of exchange written by Piaggio). In the period 74-76 the 125 was sold in the spring color BROWN METALLIC Cod MM 1.268.5130 (PIA 130) with beige saddle, third, output together with ET3 , but written the same light of the new design. He was successful on the market thanks to the outstanding performance and the line that appealed to everyone, even the girls. Was discontinued in 1982 , along with the ET3.

Commissioned specifically for the export market, the Vespa ET3 125 had the same features of the Italian ET3, together with the seat, the fan cover and the range of colors. It was particularly popular in Japan, where it remained on sale until the mid-nineties.
The Vespa ET3 Primavera was a particular success with 144,000 units produced. The small size of the body, similar to the Vespa 50cc, ensured an agile maneuverability and an excellent road handling. It was developed in the 70's for the youth market and included details like a denim saddle.

The Vespa story begins in the aftermath of WW II in Italy. The economy was left crippled and the roads were in a disastrous state which made it difficult for the automobile and other manufacturers to reemerge.
